This article is about Yasmin Ahmad(July 1, 1958-July 25, 2009) a critically-acclaimed multi-award winning film director, writer and scriptwriter from Malaysia and was also the executive creative director at Leo Burnett Kuala Lumpur. Her television commercials and films are well-known in Malaysia for their humour, heart and love that crosses cross-cultural barriers, in particular her ads for Petronas, the national oil and gas company. Her works have won multiple awards both within Malaysia and internationally.

Yamin Ahmad advertisements and films that captured the essence of racial harmony in Malaysia, she started her career as a copywriter and later rose to prominence in the advertising industry.

She had won awards for dramas such as Sepet (2004) and Gubra (2006).In Singapore, Ms Yasmin is best known for the pro-family commercials she did for the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports.

Her film "Talentime"(2009) got the Malaysia Film Festival awards for Best Director.

I saw some TV ad made by Yasmin Ahmad through the television, very touching and meaningful. Some of the TV ad can find in the YouTube.

    All the text I copy from the website. I very admire Yasmin Ahmad, her videos full of meaning and very touching. At Malaysia, we can always saw her TV ad at some festival. But very pity, she died at July this year.

    Although she is gone, we still very love her and proud of her.
